Application and Registration for High School Dual Credit Form

Students interested in enrolling in dual credit courses should submit the following forms:

The Dual Credit Request Form must be submitted each semester when registering for dual credit courses. Copies of the forms are also available in the high school counseling offices and by calling the NMSU Admissions Office at (575) 646-1055 or emailing admissions@nmsu.edu.

In addition to these forms, students should submit an unofficial high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores. If no ACT, submit PSAT or PLAN scores for review of eligibility. Completed forms and required documents may be submitted to the Undergraduate Admissions Office in person, by US mail, by email, or faxed to (575) 646-6330.

Course Selection

Course selection will vary based on the Master Agreements with each school district. Generally speaking, dual credit students may enroll in 100 and 200 level courses, if they meet pre-requisites for the course. Students enrolling in courses through the Department of Mathematical Sciences will be required to take the Math Placement Exam to determine course placement. Enrollment in upper division courses will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Students are required to meet with an academic advisor prior to enrolling in any course at NMSU. Up to 8 credits per semester may be taken as a dual credit or early admission student.
