Health Insurance

NMSU requires all F-1 and J-1 students and their dependents to obtain and continually maintain major medical health insurance. Insurance coverage can be purchased annually or can be divided by the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Health insurance coverage is required for the summer if you are residing in U.S. Failure to purchase and keep this insurance for the duration of your stay is a violation of your visa status.

Students can purchase the NMSU health insurance at the Student Health Center.
